How do I restore a purchase?

If you reinstalled the app or got a new device, open the Store screen and tap Restore Purchases. Your unlocked question packs are tied to your Apple ID and will come back at no additional charge.

I bought a pack but it's still locked.

Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase, then tap Restore Purchases on the Store screen. If it still doesn't appear, email us the approximate date of purchase and we'll sort it out.

How does the spaced repetition (Study) mode work?

Every question you answer feeds an SM-2 algorithm — the same approach used by Anki. Diagnoses you miss resurface sooner; ones you nail get spaced further out, so review time goes where it's needed most.

Can I turn off the sound or music?

Yes. Tap the speaker icon in the top-right corner of any screen to toggle audio, or adjust sound, music, and haptics individually from the Profile screen.

How do I stop the streak reminder notifications?

Open the Profile screen and turn off notifications, or disable them for BuzzwordDx in the iOS Settings → Notifications menu.

Is my progress backed up?

Your scores, streaks, and study progress are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to any server, which also means they don't currently transfer between devices — we're exploring iCloud sync for a future update.

Which subjects are covered?

Ten specialties: Neurology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrine, GI & Hepatology, Pulmonology, Renal, Heme/Onc, Immunology, and OMM — each with free questions plus an optional expert-mode pack.
